- Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Jal Shakti and Smt.
- Darshana V Jardosh, Minister of State for Textiles & Railways today jointly inaugurated the Trade Facilitation Centre at Boranada, Jodhpur.
2. Two Day National Workshop to Speed Up Development of National Tribal Freedom Fighters’ Museum Organised At Bhopal
- A two-day national workshop (7th and 8th April 2022) was organised at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh by the Development Support Agency of Gujarat (DSAG), Tribal Development Department of Gujarat and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
3. World Doubles Squash Championships: India win maiden Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles titles in Glasgow
- In the World Doubles Squash Championships, India’s Dipika Pallikal teaming up with Saurav Ghosal and Joshna Chinappa, has won mixed doubles and women’s doubles titles at Glasgow.
4. South-Central Railway launches ‘One station One Product’ initiative at 6 major stations
- The South-Central Railway (SCR) has launched the “One station One Product” initiative at 6 major stations in all its six divisions.

- Pinaka Mk-I (Enhanced) Rocket System (EPRS) and Pinaka Area Denial Munition (ADM) rocket systems have been successfully flight-tested by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Army at Pokhran Firing Ranges.
6. Cabinet nod to distribute fortified rice under central schemes
- In a move aimed at reducing malnutrition in the country, the Union cabinet approved a scheme to distribute fortified rice under various government programmes.
- This will provide nutrition to every poor person of the country to overcome malnutrition and lack of essential nutrients in women, children and lactating mothers.

- Automaker Kia India has launched the refreshed versions of its two popular products, Seltos and Sonet, with prices starting at Rs 10.19 lakh and Rs 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India), respectively.

10. RBI starts SDF to raise effective policy rate
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has effectively raised the policy rate by 40 basis points by introducing a standing deposit facility (SDF), through which it seeks to suck out excess liquidity in the system, but without offering any collateral to banks.
11. Tata Group officially launches super app Tata Neu
- Tata Group has officially launched its much-anticipated super app Tata Neu, as it attempts to take on Amazon and Jio Platforms.
- The app will allow users to access a range of services from the company-owned brands including Air Asia, BigBasket, Croma, IHCL, Qmin, Starbucks, Tata 1Mg, Tata CLiQ, Tata Play, and Westside.

12. Indian Railways: CAG Flags Slow Progress In Reducing Travel Time Of Passenger And Freight Trains
- In its latest report tabled in Parliament, the CAG has pointed out that there was no significant improvement on the mobility outcomes.
- Despite investing Rs 2.5 lakh crore on track infrastructure during 2008-19, Indian Railways has failed to speed up passenger and freight trains.

14. IOC, L&T, ReNew power form joint venture to develop green hydrogen sector
- To enable decarbonization push, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), ReNew Power announced signing of a binding term sheet for the formation of a Joint Venture (JV) company to develop the nascent green hydrogen sector in India.
- The JV will focus on developing Green Hydrogen projects in a time-bound manner to supply Green Hydrogen at an industrial scale.
