1. FIFA suspends India’s AIFF over third party influence, may lose right to host women’s U-17 WC
- “The suspension will be lifted once an order to set up a committee of administrators to assume the powers of the AIFF executive committee has been repealed and the AIFF administration regains full control of the AIFFs daily affairs,”.
- FIFA said the suspension was effective immediately and that the transgression constitutes a serious violation of the FIFA Statutes.

3. 7500 Sq Ft Tricolour displayed at Dal Lake as part of celebration of 75 years of Independence
- The Ministry of Tourism, Institute of Hotel Management Srinagar and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling in a joint effort displayed a 7500 Sq. Ft Indian Tricolour at the bank of Dal Lake, Srinagar.
- This was as part of celebrating 75 years of Independence and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha was the Chief Guest.
4. First 3D-printed human cornea in India developed by LVPEI, CCMB and IIT Hyderabad
- Researchers from L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IITH), and the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), have collaborated to develop a 3D-printed cornea from the human donor corneal tissue.
- They have successfully 3D-printed an artificial cornea and transplanted it into a rabbit eye.

5. SBI to run Indian Visa Centres in Bangladesh for two more years
- SBI will manage the Indian Visa Application Centre in Bangladesh for two more years.
- The agreement to extend the operations for two more years was signed between the officials of the SBI and the High Commission of India in Dhaka.
- Currently, SBI runs a total of 15 IVACs across Bangladesh.
- The IVAC centre at the Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka was opened in 2018.
- The first IVAC was started by SBI in 2005 in Dhaka.
6. ISA Floats Tender for 1150 MW Solar Project in Cuba
- In partnership with the Cuban government, the International Solar Alliance (ISA), has launched a tender to establish 1150 MW solar plant.
- An ISA statement stated that the project management consultant for ISA is state-owned NTPC.
- Cuba plans to build 2100 MW solar projects.
- This will reduce the dependence on diesel generators that are polluting and increase its green energy

- Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh unveiled the statue of renowned Marwari warrior Veer Durgadas Rathore in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
- On the occasion, Raksha Mantri paid glowing tributes to veer Durgadas Rathore and described him as a symbol of social harmony, honesty, bravery and devotion.

10. Shareholders of airtel approves re-appointment of Gopal Vittal as managing director for 5 years
- Bharti Airtel’s shareholders have approved the re-appointment of Gopal Vittal as managing director of the company for a period of five years with effect from February 1, 2023.
- Over 97 per cent of total votes polled were in favour of the resolution, and the same “has been passed with requisite majority”, the telco said in a regulatory filing on the outcome of its AGM.

14. Indian Railways launches Operation Yatri Suraksha to improve passenger safety

- Surveillance through CCTV, checking on active criminals, presence of a person at different stations, escorting the train and other facilities will be provided.
