- Roshni Nadar Malhotra became the first woman to head a listed Indian IT company as she took over as the Chairperson of $8.9 billion HCL Technologies from her father Shiv Nadar.

2. Arunachal Pradesh plans 100% tap connections by 2023
- Arunachal Pradesh Govt has decided to provide 100% tap water connections to all the households in the state by 2023.
- Water treatment plants are being made an integral part of schemes to provide potable water under Jal Jeevan Mission.
- Aim of the mission : 55 lts of water/person/day to every rural household.
3. Government Sets Up Single-Window Clearance for Aviation Sector
- Civil aviation ministry has set up a single-window Investment Clearance Cell (ICC) mechanism to expedite various investment proposals in the domestic aviation industry.
- The 10-member ICC will be headed by Amber Dubey, joint secretary in the aviation ministry.

5. India lifted record 273 million out of poverty in 10 years: UNDP report
- About 273 mn Indians moved out of multidimensional poverty b/w 2005-06 and 2015-16, as per UNDP & OPHI study.
- Multidimensional poverty encompasses the various deprivations experienced such as poor health, lack of education, inadequate living standards etc.
- Armenia, Nicargua, North Macedonia, India halved their MPI value.

- ArcelorMittal is the world’s biggest steelmaker.
- It has completed its Rs 2,350-crore acquisition of Odisha Slurry Pipeline Infrastructure, a crucial asset for its newly acquired 10-MTPA Essar Steel plant in Hazira, Gujarat.
- NCLT had approved the ArcelorMittal resolution plan in March.
