1. Anil Baijal, Delhi L-G, submits resignation to President Sh. Kovind
- Delhi lieutenant governor (L-G) Anil Baijal resigned citing personal reasons.
- He has submitted the resignation to President Ram Nath Kovind.
- Baijal, who took over office on December 31, 2016, after the sudden resignation of Najeeb Jung, has served a long tenure of more than five years and four months.
- Baijal was appointed the home secretary in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
2. UCO Bank appoints Sujoy Dutta as CFO
- UCO Bank has designated Sujoy Dutta as the new chief financial officer with immediate effect.

5. India overtakes Germany to become 4th largest vehicle market
- India has once again overtaken Germany to become the fourth largest automotive market.
- According to the latest numbers sourced from OICA, the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles – the international trade association formed of 39 national automotive industry trade associations.
- India saw 3,759,398 vehicles sold in 2021, compared to 2,973,319 vehicles in Germany.
6. India contributed USD 800,000 to promote Hindi at UN
- India has contributed USD 800,000 to the United Nations as part of the initiative to enhance public outreach of the organisation in Hindi.

- Billionaire Gautam Adani has clinched a $10.5 billion deal that grants his conglomerate a 63.19 per cent stake in Swiss cement major Holcim Ltd’s India operations, Ambuja Cements Ltd and its subsidiary ACC.
- With this, the Adani Group became the second largest cement producer in the country after the Aditya Birla Group owned UltraTech Cement.
