3. Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel launches the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of India
- Union Minister for Culture (I/C) : Shri Prahlad Singh Patel.
- He launched the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of India in New Delhi.
- List is an attempt to recognize the diversity of Indian culture embedded in its intangible heritage.
- 13 ICH of the list have also been recognized by UNESCO.

- She attended the meeting through video conference.
- She shared the measures taken to combat COVID-19 including social support measures for poor and vulnerable.
- Government has announced support measures worth $23 billion.
5. Delhi Government introduces ‘Assess Koro Na’ application
- The Delhi government has asked officials to use the new ‘Assess Koro Na’ app for door-to-door survey in COVID-19 containment zones.
- To speed up decision-making by analysing real-time data,
- To remove a major obstacle in the efforts to contain the virus.
- 1st phase of the assessment will be launched in South Delhi.

8. CSIR-NAL develops personal protective suit to combat COVID-19
- CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories along with MAF Clothing Private Limited has developed Personal Protective Cover all suit.
- The suit has been produced with polypropylene spun multi-layered non-woven fabric.
- The CSIR-NAL is to produce 30,000 suits per day.
9. Central Drug Research Institute signs MoU to sequence virus strains
- The Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with King George’s Medical University (KGMU).
- Signed MoU to sequence the virus strains obtained from COVID-19 patients in Uttar Pradesh.
- It will be under 1st vertical digital & molecular surveillance.
10. Demo-2 mission: NASA to launch Astronauts to space first time in 11 years
- NASA and SpaceX are targeting May 27 for the launch of Demo-2.
- Demo-2 will launch two NASA astronauts to the International Space Station for the first time since the end of the Space Shuttle program nearly a decade ago.
- This will be the 1st crewed launch for Elon Musk’s space company
11. NASA discovers hidden ‘Earth-like’ planet from old Kepler data
- Astronomers have found an Earth-size planet in its star’s habitable zone,
- The conditions of the planet may be just right to allow the presence of liquid water on the surface.
- The planet called Kepler-1649c, is located 300 light-years from Earth.
- The planet is only 1.06 times larger than Earth.
