1. DRDO successfully test-fires indigenously developed laser-guided Anti-Tank Guided Missiles from Main Battle Tank Arjun
- The indigenously developed Laser-Guided Anti-Tank Guided Missiles ATGM were successfully test-fired from Main Battle Tank MBT Arjun by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Army at KK Ranges with support of Armoured Corps Centre and School Ahmednagar in Maharashtra.

2. Indian Navy’s all-women crew creates history by completing first independent maritime surveillance mission over Arabian Sea
- Indian Navy’s women officers have created history after they completed the first-ever all-women independent maritime reconnaissance and surveillance mission in the North Arabian Sea onboard a Dornier 228 aircraft.
- The mission was carried out by five officers of the Indian Navy Air Squadron (INAS) 314 based at Naval Air Enclave at Porbandar of Gujarat.
3. CWG 2022: Sudhir Bag wins India’s first Gold medal in Para-Powerlifting and Sreeshankar wins silver in men’s long jump
- In the Commonwealth Games, Para-powerlifter Sudhir clinched the Gold medal in the Men’s Heavyweight final with the best weight of 212kg last night.
- Sudhir won India’s first gold in Para-Powerlifting at the Commonwealth Games.
- He defeated Nigeria’s Ikechukwu Obichukwu by 0.9 points as his final score read a Games record 134.5 points for the gold.
4. World’s largest floating solar power plant to be built in Madhya Pradesh
- A floating solar power plant is going to be built in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa.
- Said to be the world’s largest floating solar plant, it will generate 600 Megawatt power by 2022-23.
- The project is estimated to be worth over ₹3000 crores.
- It will be built on Omkareshwar dam.
- Omkareshwar Dam is built on the Narmada river.
- India’s largest floating solar power project in Telangana.

5. NIESBUD partners HUL to develop entrepreneurial skills and create livelihood opportunities
- In an effort to inculcate a culture of innovation, imagination and proactiveness among youngsters, National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) and Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for developing entrepreneurial skills among the youth and identifying other aspects for mutual collaboration.

6. Amazon ties up with Indian Railways to boost delivery of packages
- Amazon India has engaged with Indian Railways to boost its delivery services in the country.
- Through this partnership, the e-commerce firm said it will be able to transport packages on more than 110 inter-city routes, ensuring one to two-day delivery for its customers.
- Amazon began working with the Indian Railways in 2019.
- The company has increased its transportation lanes five -fold.
7. Ministry of Women and Child Development issues Guidelines of ‘Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0′
- The Ministry of Women and Child Development has issued Operational Guidelines regarding implementation of ‘Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0′.
- The scheme has been approved by the Government of India for implementation during the 15th Finance Commission period 202l-22 to 2025-26.
- Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 is an Integrated Nutrition Support Programme.
8. GST E-invoicing is mandatory for firms with a turnover of above 10 crore from October 2
- The centre has made E-invoicing mandatory for businesses with aggregate turnover exceeding Rs 10 crore from October 1, a move which will further plug in revenue leakage and will ensure better tax compliance from businesses.
- Presently, e-invoice is compulsory for businesses with an annual turnover of over Rs 20 crore.
9. Centre approves highest ever Fair and Remunerative Price of Rs 305 per quintal for Sugarcane farmers
- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the Fair and Remunerative Price of sugarcane for sugar season 2022-23 (October – September).
- It has approved the highest ever Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of 305 rupees per quintal for Sugarcane Farmers.
- The FRP for sugar season 2022-23 is 2.6 percent higher than current sugar season 2021-22.
- FRP of sugarcane is fixed to ensure a guaranteed price to sugarcane growers.
10. Airtel to start 5G rollout in Aug; inks pacts with Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung
- The Sunil Mittal-led firm recently acquired 19,867.8 MHZ spectrum in 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz bands, bolstering its spectrum holding.
- Bharti Airtel, which acquired spectrum worth Rs 43,084 crore in the just-concluded auction.
- Airtel has announced it has signed 5G network agreements with gear makers Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung to commence 5G development in August 2022.

- Recently-listed Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has broken into the latest Fortune Global 500 list, while Reliance Industries has jumped 51 places.
- The nation’s biggest life insurer with revenue of USD 97.26 billion and a profit of USD 553.8 million, was ranked 98th on the just released Fortune 500 list.
- Reliance Industries jumped 51 places to 104 on the 2022 list.

12. NPCI and IIT Kanpur sign MoU for Knowledge Sharing and Research Collaboration
- The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) have signed an MoU for sharing knowledge on innovative ideas and to collaborate on the development of indigenous digital payments solutions.
- The collaboration will also help in the augmentation of cybersecurity controls for NPCI and its subsidiaries’ products and services.

16. IOCL signs MoU with Bangladesh for emergency supply of petroleum goods
- The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) signed an MoU with the Bangladesh Roads and Highways department in Dhaka for the emergency supply of petroleum goods via Bangladesh territory to India.
