  1. trump card (noun) – valuable resource used as a surprise in order to gain an advantage.
  2. yield (verb) – give, provide, produce.
  3. outcome (noun) – result, consequence, aftermath, development.
  4. come into view (phrase) – become visible.
  5. bonhomie (noun) – friendliness, warmth, geniality/affability.
  6. spur (verb) – stimulate, encourage, motivate.
  7. bilateral (adjective) – involving two groups or countries.
  8. centre (verb) – focus, concentrate, pivot, be based.
  9. take forward (phrasal verb) – deal with/handle, address, take responsibility for.
