1. RBI cancels registration certificate of P C Financial Services operating ‘Cashbean’ app
- Reserve Bank of India has cancelled the Certificate of Registration of PC Financial Services Pvt Ltd, Delhi for violation of RBI directions on outsourcing and Know Your Customer norms.
- PC Financial Services Private Limited, New Delhi was primarily engaged in mobile app-based lending operations through an app called `Cashbean`.
2. Commission approves proposed combination involving acquisition of stake in ISMT Limited by Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited
- The Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved proposed combination involving acquisition of stake in ISMT Limited by Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited.
- Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited (Acquirer) is a listed public company limited by shares and is a flagship company of Kirloskar Group.
- ISMT Limited (Target) is a listed public company limited by shares.
3. National Strategy on Additive Manufacturing announced
- Catering to the next-generation digital manufacturing & aiming to mitigate immediate disabilities of local industries, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Electronics & Information Technology, Communications & Railways & Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics & IT& Skill Development & Entrepreneurship announced “National Strategy on Additive Manufacturing”.
4. HUL separates position of the Board Chairman and CEO & MD; Nitin Paranjpe appointed non-executive chairman
- Hindustan Unilever announced the appointment of Nitin Paranjpe as the non-executive chairman and non-executive director of the company, effective from March 31, 2022.
- Sanjiv Mehta, the CEO, and MD of the company will continue in his current role.
- The company also announced the re-appointment of Dev Bajpai as a whole-time director for a period of five years.
5. IKEA India appoints Susanne Pulverer as its first woman CEO, CSO
- Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA (part of Ingka Group) announced the appointment of Susanne Pulverer as its new and first woman Chief Executive Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer, for its India business.
- Prior to her role as IKEA India CEO and CSO, Pulverer held the position of Group Business Risk and Compliance Manager at the Ingka group.
6. Standard Chartered, IATA tie up forh payment platform for airline industry
- Global banking group Standard Chartered has partnered with the International Air Transport Association to launch a payment platform for the airline industry in India.
- In addition to existing payment options such as credit cards, IATA Pay will be a new payment option that enables participating airlines to offer instant payment options such as UPI Scan & Pay & UPI Collects.
7. IDBI Bank board approves appointment of TN Manoharan as additional director
- IDBI Bank has approved the appointment of T N Manoharan as additional director with immediate effect.
- Manoharan is not related to any other director on the board and the KMP (key management personnel) of the bank, the lender said in a BSE filing.
- He also served as director at the instance of RBI in Sahara India Finance Corporation.
8. Digital India CEO Abhishek Singh named National e-Governance Division chief
- In a top level administrative realignment the Union government has announced to elevate senior IAS officers and Digital India Corporation CEO Abhishek Singh as new National e-Governance Division (NeGD) CEO.
- The 1995-batch IAS officer from Nagaland cadre will hold the position in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
9. Defence ministry teams up with CSC e-Governance to onboard pension services under SPARSH across India
- The Defence Accounts Department (DAD) under the of ministry of defence has teamed up with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) under ministry of electronics and information technology, to onboard pension services.
- It is under the System for Pension Administration (Raksha) – SPARSH – initiative across more than four lakh Common Service Centres.
10. WEF and NIUA launch ‘Sustainable Cities India’ program to help cities meet Net Zero goals
- The World Economic Forum (WEF) and the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on a jointly designed ‘Sustainable Cities India’ program which will aim to create an enabling environment for cities to generate decarbonization solutions across the energy, transport, and the built environment sectors.

- Authority will be headed by a chairman and assisted by 5 members to lead its 5 wings- policy & research, technical, regulation, disaster & resilience, administration & finance.

- Under this programme, SIDBI will extend benefits to 50 women in directly generating revenues from alternate livelihoods.
