- Economist and author Bibek Debroy has been appointed as the Chancellor of Pune’s Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute.
- Debroy, who is presently the chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM), will succeed well-known archaeologist AP Jamkhedkar.
- Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute is the third oldest in the country.
2. 61st edition of Subroto Cup International Football Tournament begins after gap of two years
- The 61st edition of the Subroto Cup International Football Tournament began after a gap of two years, at the BR Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi marking the start of the most prestigious football tournament for schools all over the country.

- The last tournament he played was over 1.5 months ago which he won at 41st Benasque Open 2022.
11. HAL-L&T consortium bags Rs 860 Crore ISRO contract for five PSLV
- HAL-L&T consortium bagged an Rs 860 crore contract for the end-to-end realisation of five Polar Satellite Launch Vehicles (PSLV) over a period of four years from the NewsSpace India Limited (NSIL).
- The contract was exchanged today between HAL and NSIL during the inaugural session of the 7th Bengaluru Space Expo 2022 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

12. HDFC Bank, Precision Biometric selected by RBI for test phase under Regulatory Sandbox
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said two entities – namely HDFC Bank (in partnership with Swedish firm Crunchfish AB) and Precision Biometric India Private Ltd. – have been selected for the ‘test phase’ of the ‘On Tap’ application facility for the theme ‘Retail Payments’ under regulatory Sandbox.
