1. PM Modi releases 12th installment of Rs 16,000 crore to eligible farmers under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 12th installment amount of 16 thousand crore rupees to farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi through Direct Benefit Transfer at two day event PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022 in New Delhi.
- Mr Modi also launched Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Urvarak Pariyojana – One Nation One Fertilizer.

- Under PM-KISAN, eligible farmers are provided with a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each every four months.

2. CAQM reiterates to Central/State Govts to strictly implement actions under GRAP in view of air quality index
- Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region (NCR) Delhi and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) has reiterated to all implementing agencies of the Central and State Governments to strictly implement actions under Stage I of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in view of the air quality index.
- GRAP is a set of emergency measures taken to reduce air pollution.
3. India stands third in the world in terms of fish production: MoS Dr. L Murugan
- Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Dr. L Murugan said, India stands third in the world in terms of fish production.
- He has also said that the ministry has taken several steps to improve fish production, export and infrastructure development in the last eight years like the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).

- India’s forex reserves rose by 204 million to 532.868 billion US dollar for the week ended October 7, 2022 on an increase in the value of gold holdings.
- The Reserve Bank said that in the previous reporting week, the overall reserves had dropped by 4.854 billion to 532.664 billion US dollars.

5. Army signs MoU with 11 banks for Agniveer salary accounts
- The Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with eleven banks for providing banking facilities to Agniveers after they don the uniform.
- The banks have offered soft loans to exiting Agniveers to promote and enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
- The Agniveers will have a four-year contractual job.
- The new human resource policy is applicable to Army, Air Force, and Navy.

6. Centre approves India’s 1st cable-cum-suspension bridge across Krishna river
- The central government approved construction of an iconic cable stayed-cum-suspension bridge across Krishna river connecting Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and passing through the Nallamala forest range.
- The two-storeyed cable bridge with four-lane carriageway across Krishna river was approved by the standing committee on finance.
