2. 440-m tunnel dug under Chamba for Char Dham traffic
  • Border Road Organisation dug up a tunnel below Chamba Town in Uttarakhand under the Char Dham Project.
  • The tunnel would reduce the journey to only 10 minutes compared to 30 minutes.
  • It will facilitate connectivity to Gangotri, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Badrinath.
  • Chardham is ₹12,000 cr project expected to be through by Oct ’20.

  • He won the award for his pioneering work in advancing the electronic industry and improving Artificial Intelligence capabilities.
  • Award was given by the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.

8. PMMSY aims to enhance fish production to 220 LMT in the next five years
  • PMMSY = Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.
  • PMMSY is a blue revolution scheme, aims to enhance fish production to 220 lakh metric tons by 2024-25 from 137.58 lakh metric tons in 2018-19
  • The average annual growth rate will be about 9% with an investment of ₹20,050 crores.

  • Signs MoU to fund projects worth Rs.22,000 crore for 225 MW hydro-electric projects & multipurpose projects.
