1. Vini Mahajan appointed first female chief secretary of Punjab
- Punjab has appointed Vini Mahajan, a 1987-batch IAS officer, as the new chief secretary of Punjab.

3. PhonePe launches UPI handle in partnership with ICICI Bank
- PhonePe has officially launched ‘@ibl’ handle in partnership with ICICI Bank as part of an effort to diversify into a multi-bank partnership model.
- The Flipkart-backed payments player had started with Yes Bank and was offering the ‘@ybl’ handle.

4. SBI sanctions Rs 20,000 cr loans to MSMEs under credit guarantee scheme
- SBI has sanctioned loans worth Rs 20,000 crore to over 400,000 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) accounts under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS).
- It is part of the Rs 20 trillion package crafted to revive the economy

5. Govt offers filing of NIL GST statement in form GSTR-1 through SMS
- In an effort to ease the GST compliance for over 12 lakh registered taxpayers, the government has provided the facility of filing the NIL statement of GSTR-1 form through SMS.
- It would be started from July 2020 to improve ease of GST compliance, according to Finance Ministry.

6. RBI extends enhanced borrowing limit to banks under MSF till Sept 30
- RBI, as a temporary measure, had increased the borrowing limit of scheduled banks under MSF from 2% to 3% of NDTL
- Under MSF, banks borrow overnight funds by dipping in their SLR
- MSF = Marginal standing facility.
- SLR = Statutory liquidity ratio.
7. Maharashtra: State gives nod for automatic, accelerated permission to FDI of Rs 50 crore & above
- Maharashtra State Officials from the Industries department said state has decided to provide ‘Maha Parwana’, automatic or accelerated permissions to industries through a single-window system within 48 hours after receiving the complete application.

- Leading FMCG player Hindustan Unilever (HUL) said it has completed the acquisition of VWash from pharma major Glenmark Pharmaceuticals.

- VWash was launched by Glenmark in 2013.
- HUL has acquired intellectual property rights including trademarks.
