1. ‘Abnormal’ dinosaur egg in the Dinosaur Fossil National Park, in Dhar District of MP

• A staff of researchers from the University of Delhi has found a novel set of fossilised dinosaur eggs, with one egg nesting inside the dinosaur in the Dinosaur Fossil National Park, in Dhar District of Madhya Pradesh.
• While eggs-within-eggs are uncommon phenomena, they’re to date identified to happen solely in birds and have by no means identified in reptiles.
• This discovery brings out newer connections between reptilian and avian evolution.

2. World’s ‘most detailed’ map of Moon released by China

• China has released a new comprehensive geologic map of the moon, the “most detailed” to date, which is expected to make a vital contribution to scientific research, exploration and landing site selection on the Earth’s only natural satellite.
• The new comprehensive geologic map of the moon is to a scale of 1:2,500,000, the “most detailed to date”.

3. From 12th to 20th June NCPCR celebrating elimination of Child Labour week

• National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) is celebrating Elimination of Child Labour Week in the honour of World Day Against Child Labour in the 75 places as part of the “75th anniversary celebrations of India’s independence – “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” in different districts starting from 12th June to 20th June, 2022.

4. This year 12th WTO Ministerial conference will be held in Geneva

• The 12th WTO Ministerial Conference is all set to begin in Geneva, Switzerland after a gap of almost 5 years.
• The key areas of discussions & negotiations this year’s conference include WTO’s response to the pandemic, Fisheries subsidies negotiations, Public Stockholding for Food security, WTO Reforms and Moratorium on Custom Duties on Electronic transmission.
• The Conference will be co-hosted by Kazakhstan.

5. Maharashtra gets 12 new conservation reserves and three wildlife sanctuaries

• The 18th State Wildlife Board meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray approved 12 new conservation reserves that will cover an area of 692.74 sq km and two new sanctuaries (including a flamingo sanctuary) covering an area of 298.61 sq km.
• In addition, the board also cleared the extension of Lonar wildlife sanctuary area and 10 endangered wildlife habitats.

6. Goa Govt Launches ‘Beach Vigil App’ To Enhance Tourist Experience, Safeguard Beaches

• The chief minister of Goa Pramod Sawant has launched a “Beach Vigil App”.
• The CM said that the app aims to benefit institutions working in the beach tourism sector and also the tourists.
• The Beach Vigil App aims to do a holistic management of beaches.
• Beach Vigil App Drishti workers, police and other stakeholders can raise issues for safeguarding tourists’ interests.

• The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) in collaboration with Indian agri-land marketplace SFarmsIndia has announced the launch of IIMA-SFarmsIndia Agri Land Price Index (ISALPI), a first-of-its-kind land price index that will record and present ‘quality controlled’ data of prices of agricultural land across the country.

9. Finance Minister dedicates to the nation Dharohar – National Museum of Customs and GST in Goa

• Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman dedicated to the nation; “Dharohar” – the National Museum of Customs and GST in Goa, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Iconic week.
• Museum showcases not only the artefacts seized by Indian Customs but also depicts various aspects of work performed by the Customs Department.

10. Ecuador, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Switzerland elected to UNSC as non-permanent members

• Ecuador, Japan, Malta, Mozambique & Switzerland were elected to the UNSC as non-permanent members for the 2023-2024 term and will replace India, Ireland, Kenya, Mexico and Norway at the horse-shoe table from January 1 next year.
• They will join Albania, Brazil, Gabon, Ghana, the UAE, and the 5 permanent members China, France, Russia, the UK and the USA.

11. ICICI Bank partners with Zest Money to expand its ‘Cardless’ EMI facility

• ICICI Bank announced its partnership with Zest Money, a digital EMI/pay later platform, to expand its ‘Cardless EMI’ facility.
• The customers of ICICI bank will be able to utilize Zest Money’s flagship ‘Pay-in-3’ offering, where the bill would be split into three EMIs without extra costs.
• Customers can convert transactions up to Rs 10 lakh into EMIs,

12. Fino Payments Bank partners with Go Digit General Insurance Limited

• Fino Payments Bank has partnered with Go Digit General Insurance Ltd to offer shop insurance policy to small & medium business owners.
• Fino is associated with Go Digit as a corporate agent.
• The tie-up will allow small and medium businesses to avail the benefits of Digit’s My Business Policy in case of any adverse event.
• The policy will be valid for one year.
• The policy will also include in-built coverages like money in safe, money in transit, etc.

13. Electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy partners with SBI for vehicle financing

• Electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy has partnered with the State Bank of India for vehicle financing for its customers.
• The collaboration will enable customers, having pre-approved loan offers from SBI, to avail instant loans at low-interest rates starting from 9.55% p.a.
