4. Child, maternal malnutrition led to 68 per cent under-five fatalities in India
  • 68.2% of Under-five (U5) deaths were due to child and maternal malnutrition.

8. Govt broadens the definition of MSME

10. BRICS’ New Development Bank provides $1 billion loan to India to fight COVID-19
  • The New Development Bank of BRICS disbursed $1 billion emergency assistance loan to India.

11. CDC of the US commits $3.6 million to India
  • To help fight the spread of COVID-19, the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention committed $3.6 million to the Indian govt.
  • The funds are also meant to be used to support the development of Infection Prevention and Control centres of excellence.
