- The Film Federation of India has announced India’s official entry to the Oscars 2023.
- The Gujarati film, Chhello Show, which is titled Last Film Show in English, has been selected as India’s official entry to the 95th Academy Awards.
- It has been selected in the Best International Feature Film category.

2. Mahindra & Mahindra to acquire Swaraj Engines’ 17.41 percent stake from Kirloskar Industries
- Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Ltd said it will acquire an additional 17.41 per cent stake in Swaraj Engines Ltd from Kirloskar Industries Ltd (KIL) for Rs 296 crore.
- The acquisition will result in increasing the company’s stake in Swaraj Engines Ltd (SEL) to 52.13 per cent from 34.72 per cent.
- SEL would become a subsidiary of M&M.

3. RBI removes Central Bank of India from PCA watchlist after more than 5 yrs
- Reserve Bank of India (RBI) removed the Central Bank of India from the Prompt Corrective Action (PCA) complying with parameters like net non-performing assets (net NPAs) and capital ratios.
- RBI had placed Central Bank under PCA in June 2017 due to high net NPAs and negative return on assets.
- The Central Bank was the last of the public sector lenders to come out of PCA.

- Indian Army activated satellite broadband-based internet service on the world’s highest battlefield, Siachen Glacier.
- The feat was achieved by the Indian Army’s XIV Corps or Fire and Fury Corps’ Siachen Signallers.
- The achievement of installing satellite-based internet at an altitude of 10,061 feet on the Siachen Glacier was announced by the Indian Army’s XIV corps.
