- There will be a moratorium of 7 years on payment of principal.
12. Union Cabinet Approves 2 Per Cent Interest Subvention On ‘Shishu’ MUDRA Loans For A Period Of 12 Months
- In a relief for small businesses, the Cabinet approved a 2 per cent interest subvention for “Shishu” loan borrowers for a period of 12 months.
- It is under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.
- The scheme will incentivize people who will make regular repayments of loans.
- MUDRA = Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency.
13. Mastercard acquires Finicity; aims to advance open banking strategy
- Mastercard has announced plans to buy Finicity, for a purchase price of US$825 million.
- Finicity is a North American provider of real-time access to financial data and insights.
- Mastercard said the transaction would close by end of 2020, subject to regulatory reviews.
