4. 5 major palm oil importers from Asia form alliance

- Indian activist-author-poet Meena Kandasamy has been announced as the recipient of the Hermann Kesten Award 2022, which is given by the PEN Centre in Darmstadt, Germany.

6. Amazon setting up its first solar project in India
- Amazon announced the setting up of its first solar farm in India.
- The e-commerce major will be setting up three solar power projects with a capacity of 420 megawatt (MW) in Rajasthan.
- These would include a 210 MW project to be developed by ReNew Power, a 100 MW project to be developed by Amp Energy India, and a 110 MW project to be developed by Brookfield Renewable Partners.

7. Indian Railways installs ISRO-developed RTIS system for real-time train tracking
- Real Time Information System (RTIS), developed in collaboration with ISRO, is being installed on the locomotives for automatic acquisition of train movement timing at the stations, including that of arrival & departure or run-through.

- India has announced the launch of the “Innovation Roadmap of the Mission Integrated Biorefineries” developed by co-leads and active inputs from Brazil, Canada, EC and the UK.

- The aim is to achieve the universal goal of clean water bodies through ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyan’ and ‘Tide Turners Plastic Challenge programme’.
