3. World Bank’s India head Junaid Ahmad appointed vice president of operations
- The World Bank’s India head Junaid Kamal Ahmad has been appointed as a Vice President of the international lending institution.
- Ahmad, who as Vice President, Operations would head the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), is only the second Bangladeshi national to be appointed to such a high position in the history of the bank.

- Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy inaugurated Devayatanam, a conference on temple architecture of India, at Hampi, Karnataka.
- He also released a booklet consisting of 75 glorious temples from across India.

- The two day international conference is being organized by the Archaeological Survey of India.
5. India’s overall ranking on IP protection improves, says USCC report
- India has improved its overall IP score from 4 percent to 38.6 percent, and the country is ranked 43 out of 55 countries on the International Intellectual Property Index, according to an annual report compiled by the influential US Chambers of Commerce.

- Union Minister for MSME, Narayan Rane announced establishment of MSME-Technology Centre at Sindhudurg and launched the MSME RuPay Credit Card.
- The MSME-Technology Center to be set up at Sindhudurg at a cost of about Rs 200 crore will enhance the competitiveness of MSME industries.
7. Education Ministry launches Bhasha Certificate Selfie campaign
- The Ministry of Education has launched a Bhasha Certificate Selfie Campaign to encourage cultural diversity and promote multilingualism and to foster the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
- Bhasha Certificate Selfie initiative aims to promote Bhasha Sangam mobile app, developed by the Ministry of Education and MyGov India.

- A joint military exercise, EX DHARMA GUARDIAN-2022, between India and Japan will be conducted at Foreign Training Node, Belagavi in Karnataka from 27th February to 10th of March.

- According to Airtel, Singapore-based Aqilliz has developed Atom, a patented hybrid blockchain platform that mixes differential privacy and federated learning on a distributed digital ledger.

12. J&K admin sets target to harness hydropower potential to make UT power surplus
- The Jammu and Kashmir administration has set a target to harness the region’s hydropower potential to make the Union territory power surplus in the next five years.

- The Indian Railways will soon set up the country’s biggest world-class academy, exclusively for wrestlers in railways, with all the best sports facilities at Kishanganj locality in Delhi.
