  • The cabinet headed by CM Jai Ram Thakur launched of a portal for registration of people who returned to the state due to job-loss.

3. Nirmala Sitharaman launches facility for instant allotment of e-PAN based on Aadhaar
  • As announced in the Budget earlier, FM launched the facility for instant allotment of PAN card using Aadhaar-based e-KYC.
  • The facility is now available for all applicants who possess a valid Aadhaar number and a mobile number registered in UIDAI database.
  • Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a 10-character alphanumeric.

4. Simon & Schuster names Jonathan Karp as new CEO
  • Jonathan Karp, who has worked with authors ranging from Sen. Edward Kennedy to Susan Orlean, has been named the new CEO of Simon & Schuster.

  • National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), as an initiative to improve digital financial inclusion, launched an artificial intelligence (AI) based chatbot, PAi.
