  • It has been designed using materials readily available in India.
  • Pneumatics is built around mass-produced water filter hardware.
7. Geo-fencing app will be used to locate quarantine violators
  • The government has tested an app that triggers e-mails & SMS alerts to a government agency if a person has jumped quarantine,
  • Based on the person’s mobile phone’s cell tower location.
  • The geo-fencing is accurate up to 300 m.
  • Kerala was one of the first states to use geofencing to track.
8. NIF’s ‘Challenge COVID-19 Competition’
  • NIF = National Innovation Foundation.
  • NIF under the Department of Science and Technology has come up with a call inviting innovative citizens to participate in its Challenge COVID-19 Competition.

  • The “Mo Prativa” (My talent) programme is for children in the age group of 5 to 18 years.
  • The competition is held in three categories.
11. Emmy award-winning musician Adam Schlesinger dies at 52 of COVID-19
  • Emmy Winner Adam Schlesinger.
  • He is known as the co-founder of the 2000s pop-rock band Fountains of Wayne.
  • He is also known for co-writing the band’s 2003 hit Stacy’s Mom.
  • He won three Primetime Emmys.
