  • The world celebrates the World Ocean Day every year on June 8th.
  • Every year, the UN selects a theme for the annual World Ocean Day.

4. RBI creates ₹500 cr. fund to boost payment infrastructure
  • RBI has created a Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF).

  • Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Executive Chairperson of Biocon Limited, was named EY ‘World Entrepreneur of The Year 2020’ in a virtual award ceremony.

9. Yatra terminates Rs 2,300-cr merger pact with US software firm Ebix
  • Online travel company Yatra has terminated its pending merger agreement with US-based software firm Ebix and filed litigation against it in the State of Delaware, seeking “substantial damages” for alleged breaches of terms of the pact.
