2. Cabinet approves formation of 22nd Law Commission, PMFBY reforms, and Assisted Reproductive Technology Regulation Bill
- Now farmers can enrol in the Pradhan Mantri
Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) on a voluntary basis.
- The Cabinet also approved the Assisted Reproductive
Technology Regulation Bill 2020.

3. India ranks 131 on “child flourishing index”
- at 77 on sustainability index in a report
released by a Commission of World Health Organization (WHO)
- The top three countries are : 1. Norway, 2. South
Korea and 3.The Netherlands.

Niger are at bottom.
4. Govt approves Rs 4,558cr scheme for the dairy sector: Prakash Javadekar
- which will benefit about 95 Lakhs farmers.

subvention scheme from 2 per cent to 2.5 per cent.

5. India to switch to world’s cleanest petrol, diesel from 1st April 2020
- India will join the league of nations using petrol
and diesel containing just 10 parts per million of sulphur.
- Bharat Stage (BS)-IV had a sulphur content of 50
ppm.
6. India overtakes UK & France to become 5th largest world economy
- ndia has emerged as the 5th-largest world
economy in 2019,
- India has a gross domestic product (GDP) of
$2.94 trillion, overtaking the UK and France in 2019.
