1. Transgender persons to get composite healthcare services under Ayushman Bharat benefits
- In a landmark decision today, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between National Health Authority (NHA) under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Department of Social Justice and Empowerment to provide an inclusive and composite health package for Transgender Persons under Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY.

- Full form is – Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

2. Anang Tal site in Delhi to be Centrally protected
- The Anang Tal lake in South Delhi, believed to have been built a thousand years ago, has been declared a monument of national importance through a gazette notification by the Ministry of Culture earlier this week.
- As per the website of National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities, Tradition ascribes this tank to a Tomar King, Anang Pal II, the builder of Lal Kot.

3. India’s first 3D printed post office to soon come up in Halasuru area of the state Karnataka
- Cambridge Layout in Halasuru is set to witness this technological marvel, making it the first post office in the country to be built using 3D printing.
- Larsen & Toubro Construction has been approached in connection with building the Halasuru Bazaar sub-post office.

- HPCL commenced its Cowdung to Compressed Biogas Project at Sanchore, Rajasthan.

9. India Successfully tests-fires Short Range Surface-To-Air Missile
- Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Navy successfully flight tested Vertical Launch Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile (VL-SRSAM) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha.
- The missiles, equipped with indigenous Radio Frequency (RF) seeker, intercepted the target with high accuracy.

11. ICRA projects 13% GDP growth in Q1FY23
- India’s GDP growth is projected to spike to a four-quarter high 13 per cent in Q1 (April-June) FY23 due to low base of Covid 2.0 and robust recovery in contact-intensive services, according to ICRA.The Q1 FY23 GDP projection is a sharp jump from 4.1 per cent in Q4 FY22.
- Overall, ICRA expects GDP growth in Q1 FY23 to trail the 16.2 per cent projected by the MPC.

12. Researchers of IIT Guwahati develops new method to produce sugar substitute ‘Xylitol’ from sugarcane waste
- Researchers at the IIT Guwahati have developed an ultrasound-assisted fermentation method to produce a safe sugar substitute called “Xylitol” from bagasse, the residue left after crushing of sugarcane.
- The xylitol production from sugarcane bagasse using ultrasonic fermentation is a potential opportunity for forward integration of sugarcane industries in India.
13. NASA unveils potential regions where Artemis III could land
- As NASA prepares to send astronauts back to the Moon as part of its Artemis missions, the space agency has identified 13 potential locations for landing crewed missions near the lunar South Pole of Earth’s sole natural satellite.
- Artemis III will be the first Artemis mission that will bring crew to the lunar surface, including the first woman to set foot on the Moon.
