- Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that primary agricultural credit societies (PACS) will be set up in all panchayats of the country over the next five years to boost activities such as marketing of dairy products.
- There are only 65,000 active PACS at present, and all panchayats will have one such body by 2027 to promote farming and dairy activities.
- PACS constitute the lowest tier of the three-tier Short-term cooperative credit in India.

- Pharma exporters body Pharmexcil has suspended the membership of Maiden Pharmaceuticals, the Delhi-based drugmaker facing a probe after the World Health Organization (WHO) red-flagged four products following the death of 66 children in the West African country The Gambia.
