  • Every year World Wind day is observed on 15 June globally to promote clean energy.

2. Govt approves Rs. 1,280 Cr for implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in MP during 2020-21
  • Govt approved Rs 1,280 Cr for implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in MP in 2020-21.
  • With an amount of Rs 244.95 Cr as unspent balance & this year’s Central allocation & matching State share, Rs 3,093 Cr will be available with the State this year.
  • JJM was launched on 15 August 2019 (73rd Independence Day).

5. Mumbai most expensive Indian city for expats, 19th most expensive in Asia: Survey
  • According to Mercer’s ‘2020 Cost of Living Survey’, Mumbai is the 60th most expensive city for expatriates globally, while it ranks 19th in Asia.
  • Mumbai is followed by New Delhi (101st globally) and Chennai (143rd globally).
  • Bengaluru (171) & Kolkata (185) are the least expensive cities.

6. CSIR-IHBT partners with Himachal Pradesh to boost saffron, hing production

8. Migrants to receive COVID care via Ayushman Bharat scheme
  • Government is preparing a list of migrant workers from across states to offer health insurance benefits under the flagship Ayushman Bharat PMJAY amid the COVID crisis.

9. Annual allotment of Rs. 4000 Cr made to States under ‘Per Drop More Crop’ component of PMKSY for 2020-21
  • Department of Agriculture Cooperation & Farmers’ Welfare is implementing Per Drop More Crop component of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana.
  • The annual allotment of Rs. 4000 Cr has already been allocated and conveyed to the State Governments.
  • Micro Irrigation Fund of Rs. 5000 Cr is created with NABARD.

10. Population of Asiatic lions increases by 28.87%: Report
  • In the recent exercise called Poonam Avalokan, which was carried out by the forest department, the population of Asiatic lions has shown a steady increase by 28.87%.
  • The population of lions has gone up to 674 against the 523 which was reported in 2015.
  • The Gir forest in Gujarat is the last abode of Asiatic lions.

11. Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India reduce MCLR across all tenors
  • BoB and UBI have announced cut in their Marginal Cost of Funds-Based Lending Rates (MCLR) across all tenors.
  • BoB has revised its one-year MCLR to 7.65% from 7.80%.
  • Union Bank of India has reduced its one-year MCLR to 7.60% from 7.70%.
  • SBI has reduced its MCLR by 25 basis points across all tenors.
