- The service will provide high-speed satellite internet across the country, including in remote locations that are unserviceable by terrestrial networks, using the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)’s GSAT-11 and GSAT-29 communication satellites.

7. PhonePe tokenises 1.4 cr debit, credit cards in line with RBI’s tokenisation mandate
- The largest fintech platform in India, PhonePe, said that 14 million debit and credit cards have been tokenized on the platform which is in line with the mandatory card tokenization of the RBI which is a move to reduce the risk of fraud and safeguard customers’ card details.
- The deadline for tokenizing debit & credit cards has been extended by the RBI till September 30, 2022.

- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on September 5 launched the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance scheme titled ‘Pudhumai Penn’.
- Pudhumai Penn scheme, girl students, who studied from Class V to Class XII in state government schools would be paid a monthly assistance of ₹1,000 till they complete their graduation or diploma.

- Norway’s Norges Bank has hit a major milestone in digital currency efforts, releasing the open source code for the country’s central bank digital currency (CBDC) sandbox.
