3. Nestle India CMD Suresh Narayanan gets another 5-yr term
- Nestle India has received shareholders ‘approval to extend the tenure of its Chairman and Managing Director Suresh Narayanan by another five years’.
- Narayanan had joined Nestle India as MD on August 1, 2015, when the company was facing the Maggi crisis.

- Bajaj Consumer Care Limited has appointed Jaideep Nandi as its new Managing Director.

9. J&K govt approves Rs 5,136 Cr district capex budget for FY’21

10. RBI-appointed panel recommends population-based ATM charges
- RBI panel set up in June 2019, recommended a population-based approach for fixing ATM charges.
- For transactions in centres with a population of over 1 million, the interchange fee would be increased to Rs 17 from Rs 15, for every financial transaction.
- For every non-financial transaction fee will be Rs 7.
11. NPCI’s UPI head Anubhav Sharma set to join Paytm Payments Bank
- Paytm Payments Bank has roped in Anubhav Sharma who was heading Unified Payments Interface and Immediate Payment Service at the National Payments Corporations of India for a top role.
- This would be one of the most senior hiring for the Noida-based bank.
- Paytm was founded in August 2010.
12. India becomes 12th largest holder of US govt securities at April end
- India has become the 12th largest holder of US securities at the end of April, with holding worth $157.4- b.
- After significantly reducing the exposure in March to $156.5 billion, India marginally hiked the holding by $0.9 billion to $157.4 billion the next month.
- At the end of April, Japan had the maximum exposure.

- HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has announced that National Testing Agency has launched Hindi Tests feature on National Test Abhyas app.

14. NI-MSME inks pact with Nitte to train MSMEs

15. MCL plans to invest Rs 60,000 crore in Odisha in five years
- Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited will invest Rs 60,000 crore in Odisha by 2025-26.
- The company would invest in procurement of heavy machinery, besides setting-up of 1600 MW (2×800) super critical thermal power plant.
- Rs 31,000 Cr is for mining & social infrastructure development.
16. Jharkhand to launch job guarantee scheme for urban poor
- Jharkhand is set to launch a 100-day employment scheme– Mukhyamantri SHRAMIK Yojna, for urban unskilled workers.
- It is similar to the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) amid the coronavirus pandemic and increasing unemployment.
