1. Anandiben Patel takes oath as Madhya Pradesh Governor
- Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel took oath as governor of Madhya Pradesh at a ceremony at Raj Bhawan in Bhopal.
- Ms Patel was given additional charge as Madhya Pradesh governor following the illness of incumbent governor Lalji Tandon.
- Chief Justice Ajay Kumar Mittal administered the oath of office.
2. T.C. Suseel Kumar appointed as Additional Non-Executive (Nominee) Director of Axis Bank

4. Indra Mani Pandey appointed India’s Permanent Representative to UN
- Senior diplomat Indra Mani Pandey has been appointed as the next Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations and other International Organisations in Geneva.
- Pandey is presently additional secretary in the External Affairs minist.
- The UN is an international organization founded in 1945.
5. Two renowned Indian Americans honoured by prestigious Carnegie Corporation of New York
- The duos are Siddhartha Mukherjee and Raj Chetty.

6. Govt launches Special Liquidity Scheme of Rs 30,000 Cr to improve liquidity for NBFCs and HFCs
- Government launched the Special Liquidity Scheme of Rs 30, 000 Cr to improve the liquidity position for Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs) and Housing Finance Companies (HFCs).
- The scheme was launched through a Special Purpose Vehicle set up by SBICAP.

7. World Bank approves $750 million fund to support COVID hit MSMEs in India
- The World Bank announced a $750 million MSME Emergency Response program to support increased flow of finance to MSMEs, severely impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
- This will address the immediate liquidity and credit needs of some 1.5 million viable MSMEs.

8. 70.32 lakh Kisan Credit Cards sanctioned with credit limit of Rs 62,870 Cr under Aatmanirbhar package
- A total of 70.32 lakh Kisan Credit Cards have been sanctioned with credit limit of 62,870 crore rupees out of 2 lakh crore rupees concessional credit under the ‘Aatmanirbhar package’.
- These cards have been sanctioned till 30th of last month.
- KCC scheme was launched in the year, 1998 by banks in India.
9. DGCI gives approval for human clinical trials of COVAXIN; first potential COVID-19 Vaccine developed in the country
- The Central Drug Standard Control Organisation has granted approval to Bharat Biotech India to conduct human clinical trials for Corona Vaccine called ‘Covaxin’.
- The company said that it is the first indigenous COVID-19 vaccine to receive the approval.

10. Ministry of Railways invites RFQ for private participation for operation of passenger train services over 109 OD pairs of routes
- Railway Ministry invited Request for Qualifications for private participation for operation of passenger train services over 109 Origin Destination pairs of routes through introduction of 151 modern Trains.
- Each Train shall have a minimum of 16 coaches.
- Project entails private sector investment of about Rs 30,000 Cr.
11. India-Bangladesh form 50:50 Joint Venture Company for LPG business in Bangladesh
- India & Bangladesh signed an agreement for the formation of a 50:50 JVC for LPG business in Bangladesh.
- It was signed between the IOC Middle East FZE, Dubai, a wholly owned subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation and RR Holdings Ltd., Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
- RR Holdings is the holding company of Beximco LPG of Bangladesh.

13. West Indies cricket legend Everton Weekes dies, aged 95
- The last of the famous three ‘Ws’, Everton Weekes has passed away.
- The West Indies cricketing great was 95 years old.
- Weekes played alongside Frank Worrell and Clyde Walcott, with all three of them making their Test debuts in 1948.
- After his playing career he became match referee for ICC.
