1. India to host G20 Summit in Sept 2023, hold over 200 meetings during its Presidency
- India will host the G-20 leaders’ summit in New Delhi on September 9 and 10 in 2023 under its Presidency.
- India will assume the Presidency of the G20 for one year from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023, and is expected to host over 200 meetings across the country, beginning in December this year.
- Collectively, the G20 accounts for 85 percent of global GDP.

- The G20 or Group of Twenty is an intergovernmental forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union (EU).
- It works to address major issues related to the global economy, such as international financial stability, climate change mitigation, and sustainable development.

2. BharatPe appoints Ex RBI deputy governor BP Kanungo and Zomato chairman Kaushik Dutta to its board
- Fintech payments platform BharatPe has roped in former RBI deputy governor B P Kanungo and TARI co-founder Kaushik Dutta as independent directors.
- Kanungo recently worked as the deputy governor of RBI from 2017-2021.
- He joined the central bank in 1982.

3. Election Commission weeds out 253 Registered Unrecognised Political Parties (RUPPs), bars them from availing benefits of the symbol order, 1968
- The Election Commission of India (ECI) led by Chief Election Commissioner, Shri Rajiv Kumar and Election Commissioner Shri Anup Chandra Pandey further delisted 86 non-existent RUPPs and declared an additional 253 as ‘Inactive RUPPs’.
- This action against 339 non-compliant RUPPs takes the tally to 537 defaulting RUPPs since May 25, 2022.

4. All India Institute of Ayurveda launches 6-week programme for Ayurveda Day
- All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), under the Ministry of Ayush, launched the Ayurveda Day 2022 programme.
- AIIA has been chosen as the nodal agency for driving the Ministry of Ayush’s mandate for Ayurveda Day this year.
- The theme for the celebration is ‘Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda’.

11. MeitY Startup Hub and Meta collaborate to accelerate XR technology startups in India
- Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Startup Hub in collaboration with Meta will launch a programme to support and accelerate XR technology startups across India.

12. Dr. Vinod K. Paul, Member (Health) of NITI Aayog releases National Health Estimates (2018-19)
- As per National Health Accounts (NHA) estimates for India 2018-19 which was released in September 2022 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the per capita government spending on healthcare has increased by 74 per cent since 2013-14.
- The government’s share in total Health Expenditure has increased from 28.6 percent in 2013-14 to 40.6 per cent in 2018-19.

14. HDFC Bank issues India’s first Electronic Bank Guarantee (e-BG)
- HDFC Bank, India’s largest private sector bank became the first bank in the country to issue an Electronic Bank Guarantee (e-BG) in partnership with National E-Governance Services Limited (NeSL).
- e-BG has been developed in consultation with NeSL, CVC-CBI committee, and Indian Banks’ Association to simplify the process and eliminate the possibility of fraud and manipulation.

- Former Chief Justice of India Kamal Narain Singh passed away.

- He was the 22nd Chief Justice of India, with a term from November 25, 1991 to December 12, 1991.
