1. HDFC Securities opens women-only Digital Centre in Bengaluru
- HDFC Securities, has announced the opening of India’s first Women-Only Digital Center (DC).
- This cutting-edge, all-female centre will assist both male and female investors.
- The company plans to hire more than 100 relationship managers for the women only DC.
- With the DCs, customers will be able to access support as and when they need it.
- The centre will be based in Bengaluru and cater to customers from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

2. Cyclone Sitrang kills 35 in Bangladesh, several homes destroyed
- Cyclone Sitrang made its landfall in a densely-populated low-lying area of Bangladesh on 24th October.
- The cyclone is said to have moved towards Bangladesh from the north Bay of Bengal at a speed of 56 kmph, causing moderate to heavy rain and squally weather in West Bengal’s coastal districts of South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas and East Midnapore.
